Last weekend, Andrew and I went away for the weekend. We went to the lovely and very old town of York. I truly enjoyed its atmosphere. It's one of those place where you feel you're back in time... I was almost feeling like a Princess with my Prince Charming, walking around old and tight little streets where each (almost) building has a history.
Being originally from America, old ruins and castles are not common sights for me. Therefore, they fascinate me.
York Minster
We did as much as we could while we were there, including the Viking Center, the York Dungeons, Clifford's Tower, York Minster... and the Ghost Tour. That was intriguing. Walking around York late at night with a guide telling us stories of inexplicable things from a long or not so long time ago was fascinating.

lovely photos! when i started learning english at school, the chilren in out textbook were from york and i think they visited all the tourist things there too :D

York looks beautiful! I've only been to London, but I would love to experience more of England. My boyfriend is half British, so maybe we should go on a roadtrip and visit his relatives...:)

I love York. I used to go every year but haven't been in a while. It's so pretty. I was fortunate enough to perform in York Minster and it was soooo amazing. I could stare at the ceiling there forever x

Lovely pictures. Old ruins fascinate me as well.
How lovely it looks! Since I am Scandinavian I am really fascinated with vikings (of course you don't need to be if you're scandinavian... haha), so I've always heard a lot about York because of that!

gosh, those castles and ruins look amazing! I would love to spend hours there, just admiring all the building and taking loads of pictures :)
Love York, Its were I used to spend some of my summers, when my Aunty lived up there. Beautiful place. :)
York is my favorite place in the whole world. I hope you enjoyed your time there. I want to go back very soon.
